Hello, lovelies! Now that Summer is on its way, the kids and I did a fun project to help bring some new friends into our yard. That's right, I'm talking about the feathered friends. So we crafted up our own birdfeeder that was made with materials from the DollarTree. How awesome is that?

Here's what you will need:
- Coffee Mug
- Saucer
- Hanging Wireframe Basket
- Garden Hook
- Super Glue
- Bird Seed

What you will need to do first is remove any stickers from the bottom of the mug. Next, you will need to attach the mug to the middle of the saucer by using a lot of super glue. Also, remember to put some glue where the handle touches the saucer as well for extra support.
Once you have the mug in place, put it up somewhere out of reach and let sit for 24 hours to dry and secure.

After 24 hours has past and the glue has dried, place the mug and saucer into the hanging wireframe basket.

Next, fill the mug with birdseed and let some also fall onto the saucer as well.

Finally, use the garden hook and hang the wireframe basket outside. I hung ours over the fence in our backyard since we do not have any trees in our yard. This was the next best thing to where the birds hang out.
And VIOLA! There you have it. A very easy and inexpensive craft you can do with the kids and enjoy watching the birds together. A few years ago, I made these birdseed creations with the kids as well.
If you have made something similar, link it below in the comments. I would love to see your creations.
