Oh so I did it again! I missed last week's bumpdate but I had a good reason. So this will be another two in one. Last week and this week.
Last week my parents were here visiting and I thought I was would be able to get in the post but I was always so exhausted after the end of each day, I never got around to putting it up. But it was another milestone.
I had a good time with them while they were here. So much went on. I haven't had that much excitement in forever. It really wore me out and I was doing more then I should have been on bed rest. But I'm really taking it easy now that they had to go back home.
There was lots of shopping going on and my daughter's sixth birthday party. Can you believe it? She turned six years old on October 19th. She's getting so big. Doesn't seem like it's been that many years. I'm actually starting to feel a bit old. Is 30 years old, old? I have so much grey hair popping up I feel old. I know this is a pregnancy update but I had to share these photos:

Now, onto the pregnancy updates. Since I missed last week's update, I said I hit a milestone with 36 weeks. That means I hit the nine month mark! Awesome and so exciting. I was loving that. Seems like it took forever to reach that point. But we did. Here was last week's photos and info:

And now that brings us to today's weekly update of 37 weeks! Funny thing is, I was wearing the same shirt last week and this week for the photos. Kind of funny. But different pants at least LOL. I feel this week the baby looks like it dropped a whole lot! Like the belly is HUGE!!!!
So as most of you probably saw, this past Sunday was our Gender Reveal Shower. We waited until almost 37 weeks to find out if the baby would be a little boy or little girl. Well, the time came and we found out. If you haven't checked it out yet, go HERE to see the photos and the reveal. I think it was a fun party.
I had my weekly doctor's appointment today was well. It was quick, in and out basically. He checked the heartbeat, measured my belly and gave me the results to the Group B Strep test I had to take last week. He said since I'm not really showing any hard core signs of labor just yet, next week will be when I get checked out to see if my cervix has dilated any and where we are in progression.
How far along? 37 weeks pregnant! (9 months) Baby due November 15. Officially considered "full-term" now!
Total weight gain/measurements: I gained 1 pound since last update {+22 all together}
Size Of Baby: Winter Melon (about 19 inches long, 6 lbs)
Size Of Baby: Winter Melon (about 19 inches long, 6 lbs)
Sleep: Sleeping often and lots of naps yet still always exhausted.
Maternity clothes: Yes. But now that I'm not working, my clothes have been
"comfy clothes" and no longer have to dress up and look pretty for work. I'm a bum at home.

Stretch marks? I have now gotten some but they aren't horribly bad. Mostly around the surgery incision.
Best moment this week: We found out the gender of the baby!
Miss anything? I miss being comfortable and breathing normal and not being sick all the time. Morning sickness has come on and off lately. Pregnancy this late in the game now is sooo miserable most of the time.
Movement: Yes,
lots of pressure & movement almost all the time now.
Cravings?: No,
nothing really. Strange, huh?
Anything making you queasy or sick? I just get so nauseous it seems from anything now.
Labor signs: Only having lots of cramping, cervical pains, back pains, very frequent urination, increased fatigue, boob leakage.
Symptoms: I've been getting the symptoms listed above as well as leg cramps in my thighs a lot lately.
Belly button in or out? It seems like it's pretty much on the verge of being out now.
Happy or moody most of the time: I've been feeling more happy this week. Not as emotional.
Baby related purchases?: Still haven't "bought" anything with our own money yet for baby. Just with some giftcards we got.
Looking forward to: Next week's doctor visit and getting ready for Halloween. We are staying home this year since I will be too far along to be out but it will be fun to let our daughter dress up and hand out candy.

And one more note! I always had asked that people go to my sidebar and vote on the baby's gender. Now that it has been revealed, I'm now excited and created a form to predict when the baby will finally arrive. I would love it if you stopped by and voted!
If you need some background, my daughter was two weeks early and so far, I haven't shown any signs just yet of being dilated.
Fill out my online form.
I love the idea of predicting when the baby will be born and ended up going for around five days early based on you saying last time you were about a week early with Natalya! Speaking of Natalya, her costume is so awesome, she's growing up fast!
ReplyDeleteI think it's insane how big the bump becomes in the 37th week, it's crazy that your little boy is coming soon Rebecca, I can't even begin to imagine the excitement in your household!
whew, you are looking like you are about to pop! i remember that feeling, its like the days go slower when you get to the last weeks.
ReplyDeleteI made my guess, based on the 2nd child always comes earlier, i experienced that withe my second son.
Good luck, God bless, wishing you a smooth delivery.

I guessed the 11th - and I'm thinking in the am. I love your daughter's birthday theme. My daughter LOVES Monster High - and I'm not gonna lie...I am too. The little girl in me wishes they had AWESOME "Barbies" like them when I was that age!
ReplyDeleteI just realized that your due date is Princess Nagger's birthday! :) Of course this year she'll be 10 - but it does seem like yesterday I was exactly where you're at right now. ;)
