Yes it is indeed Halloween! Was it a fun night for you? At our house, we had a good evening. We decided this year that Trick-or-Treating wasn't a go. Our daughter was a bit upset at first but then quickly got over it when we told her she could hand out the candy all by herself this year.
She's never handed out candy before so she was super excited. Even though we only got two trick or treaters all night, she still had fun. We didn't take her out this year because of how close we are to baby time and knew I couldn't go out and walk around and then my husband couldn't leave me home by myself in case something were to happen and I needed to get to the hospital. So next year we will go out again.
So here is a breakdown of our busy day today!
This afternoon at our daughter's school, all the Kindergarten classes had a Halloween parade. The children had to dress up as their favorite character from a book and it had to be a homemade costume. So I thought it would be fun to create a costume for the book "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie". So the husband and I stayed up all night creating the look and hand sewing everything to make the costume come to life. I think it turned out really cute!

And then after the parade, we came home and got ready for Halloween. Me and my daughter made signs for the door and I hung up some of the Halloween crafts she did at school. And we put out our pumpkins the husband carved.

Yes, my daughter had to paint the small one blue. She loved painting this with so many coats of paint LOL |
I got these views and faces of the pumpkins but I didn't get a photo of the kitty pumpkin which can be seen sitting up higher in the photo above.
So then the husband painted our daughter's face into something a bit more scary. She requested a scary skeleton face and so he did as she asked. I think it turned out great. Very different then her cute, innocent look from above at school:
