twenty-six weeks

We are moving right along. Now up to the twenty six week mark. That means six and a half months. I have been told by two people this week that they think I am having a boy since they both said I look as though I am carrying really low. I thought I was carrying high. It feels like that to me. This baby feels like it's up all in my lungs. But I guess looking back at the pregnancy photos of when I was pregnant with my daughter and now this baby, I do see a difference. Strange huh?

Here's what's going on this week:

This week also marked the week I was able to go have my glucose testing done. Joy right? I had exactly five minutes to drink this stuff and then sit for an hour and wait for it to run through my body and then they did their blood work. It's not great stuff to drink at all but it could be far worse so I guess that's the upside? My daughter went with me and laughed at me cause I hate needles. Especially when it's for blood or an IV. She laughed, can you believe that? That's because this girl actually likes getting shots. She asked them for a shot. No child I know begs for shots but she says she doesn't mind them because you get a fun band-aid afterwards. Yea, ok... not me. It's gauze and some tape. Where's my Scooby-Doo band-aid?

And here is belly bump shot for the week:

This was the new dress I got at Macy's last week. It's very comfortable and feels very loose.

How far along? 26 weeks {6 months} - Baby is due in November.
Total weight gain/measurements: I lost 1 pound from last week so now a total of 13 pounds.
Maternity clothes: You bet'cha I am!
Stretch marks? Nope. I never got them with my first pregnancy and none so far.
Best moment this week: Starting to really get the ideas rolling with my host on shower details.
Miss anything? Feeling normal. I feel huge and hormonal.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not really anything that didn't when I wasn't pregnant. Melted cheese has to be the biggest thing that has always made me feel like throwing up and still does. {I think this will be the same every week unless it really changes}
Cravings: No, not at the moment.
Gender: Surprise surprise! We will find out in October at the reveal party.
Labor signs: Nope.
Symptoms: Been having some ligament pains here and there.
Belly button in or out? In.
Happy or moody most of the time: I've been very moody this week. Very upset over things here and there.
Baby purchases: No, nothing purchased yet for the baby. However, I'm happy to say the registries are finished!
Looking forward to: Feeling the baby move more and tomorrow I have my doctor's appointment. I'll get to hear the heartbeat again which is always fun.

Remember to go over to my sidebar and find the poll to take a guess what you think the gender will be. I'm really anxious and excited what everyone thinks! I'm even more excited when we find out. Until next time, adios!

  1. Cute bump as usual Rebecca. That whole experience about getting glucose doesn't sound pleasant but at least it's for your good and everything is going great with you and your family asides from that.

  2. You look adorable! Not really looking forward to the glucose test...it's not really the drink, it's the waiting and then the needle!

  3. Surprisingly my glucose test drinks weren't bad or nasty tasting at all. The first time it tasted like marshmallows and second I had an orange flavor. Idk. Maybe, my taste buds were off.

    Cute dress.
