Well, this is the last week of the second trimester. Next week, we will be heading off into the third. Thirteen more weeks to go...or less depending on how early this one wants to come. I don't think I've ever known anyone to say their baby came late. I believe all my friend's babies came early. My daughter did too. So I have no doubts this one may.
Anyway, this has been such a busy week. This is the first time since Sunday I have been able to sit down really on the computer for more then a few seconds. My daughter started school this week and that was exciting! Almost through surviving her first week of kindergarten. I've been getting so pissed lately at work....I really wish I could just quit. I really love my job. I just am getting really pissed at the people. I don't understand the reasoning behind not everyone is treated fairly. Meaning, I'm the only one getting in trouble for everything that everyone is doing. I'm just getting tired of this particular one lady's shit. I did cry at work today because of it too.
Anyway...this is supposed to be a pregnancy update, not a life update. So here is what is going on this week in the belly news:
And here is belly shot for this week:
Though I feel my belly looks smaller in this week's photo, I feel like a freaking beach whale. I feel as though I have put on 3000 pounds and this week has not felt as attractive at all in any way shape or form. I feel fat and gross. Especially in my neck area. That's the area I feel the grossest in whenever I feel I've gained some weight. It seems to all go to there. And I hate that.
So I had a doctor's appointment a week ago {this past Friday to be exact} and everything seems to be going fine. No signs of any labor nor complications to be looked further into. With my daughter, I did start having pre-term labor at 32 weeks which they were concerned about back then. For so long, I've been telling people it was 29 weeks. But when I do the math, it was actually 32... so a few weeks off. But still.... just so I'm not a liar, it's 32 weeks.
Anyway, so at the appointment it was a very quick one like last time. Just measured the baby {measuring perfectly by the way} and we got to hear the heartbeat. It was at 150 again. Then I was informed I passed my glucose test I had to take the week prior. I had no doubts I would pass it. So at least that is one less thing to worry about. We are all good to go. Now I have to start seeing the doctor every two weeks from now on until I have to start going every week.
So my next appointment is next Friday. I'm not sure what to expect at this appointment. I assume it will be a quick one again since nothing was said. I also was told I need to go per-register at the hospital whenever I get the chance. So Monday we went down to the hospital and registered. So all that is done and now I don't have to worry about any of the paperwork or stuff when I go for anything. It's not fun being in pain and having to sit there and fill out paperwork because they can't do anything until you do. That's what happened to me last pregnancy. So this time around, it will be a bit more easier with not having to worry about the paperwork.
As far as gender reveal shower, I changed the theme yet again! I know....this is what, the third time? But this time it will stay. I've been talking a lot more with my mom and my friend who is hosting the shower about all the ideas and stuff I've been coming up with. I love helping plan these things. I think it will turn out really cute. Two months away...I'm getting excited about it.
How far along? 27 weeks {6 months} - Baby is due in November.
Total weight gain/measurements: I gained 2 pounds from last week so now a total of 15 pounds. I'm not liking this number at all. I hope I can maintain my weight better.
Maternity clothes: Of course!
Stretch marks? Nope. I never got them with my first pregnancy and none so far.
Best moment this week: Being excited with my daughter that she started kindergarten and now a big girl going to big school.
Miss anything? Being able to sleep on my stomach or back. I get no sleep trying to lay on my side. I have a snoogle and that helps but not enough.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not really anything that didn't when I wasn't pregnant. Melted cheese has to be the biggest thing that has always made me feel like throwing up and still does. {I think this will be the same every week unless it really changes}
Cravings: Nope, no cravings yet. I'm sure it will be coming.
Gender: Surprise surprise! We will find out in October at the reveal party.
Gender: Surprise surprise! We will find out in October at the reveal party.
Labor signs: Nope.
Symptoms: Been feeling very exhausted again lately and getting a bit dizzy and nauseous.
Belly button in or out? In.
Happy or moody most of the time: Just been "ok".
Baby purchases: No, nothing purchased yet for the baby.
Looking forward to: Still waiting to feel that first kick. This week I felt some small hiccup movements about twice this week. But can't wait to start feeling any kicking or real movement.

Remember to go over to my sidebar and find the poll to take a guess what you think the gender will be. I'm really anxious and excited what everyone thinks! I'm even more excited when we find out. Until next time, adios!
Congratulations on your pregnancy and the new arrival coming. Sounds like you're having a lot of fun with it.

so cute fun and exciting!
ReplyDeleteHappy 27 weeks. I can totally relate to the feeling unattractive. I think that quite a few mommies-to-be get that way towards the last trimester. I did with both of my pregnancies. I'm convinced it was a pregnancy hormone thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's no fun getting trouble for other people's crap. Sucks that you're having to deal with that at work.

I'm sorry to hear that it's been a bit of an annoying week Rebecca but hopefully you'll be able to get on with things without too much upset, it's probably not worth it to be honest. You're definitely not unattractive, you're well along into a pregnancy and I can guarantee you that nobody is looking at you and thinking "God, she looks nasty," or anything like that.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You look great, by the way!
