So another week, another round of the good ol' preggo update. Of course, you all know by now, my weeks start on Thursday so that makes me 25w2d along today. When does the second trimester end? It's soon right? That seems a bit crazy to me that it will be coming up soon. After looking it up, it looks safe to say it starts at week 28. So we are getting close. Only three weeks left of the smooth sailing trimester.
So what has been going on this week in baby world you're asking? Well, here's the details for all of you!
So things in the life of me have been going better. And I'm so much happier they have been. Things this week went a lot better then last week as far as the sad and upset parts. I'm glad we are acting like a happy couple again. It makes it a lot less stressful. However, there are so many things to be stressed over that have happened this week. But those things will seem easier to get through now. It will be hard, but we can get through it.
My daughter starts school in one week. One week... big school... can you believe that? I know that's not pregnancy related however, I'll have to write about the school supply shopping adventure I had in another post.
So this week was the first week we finally felt some movement. Yes, finally. After all this time we finally felt something. Not much though, but it's something. It was those little butterfly flutters you hear people say they feel. I felt them. Makes you feel like you have gas and need to fart..LOL I know, but that's how you describe it. Little hiccups almost. They were far and few but they were there. I mostly feel them when in bed. So it seems we are right on schedule for feeling real kicks at about the 30 week mark.
So I have decided to finally choose and keep a gender reveal/baby shower theme. I have decided to go with "Lil' Dude / Lil' Dudette". The colors will be aqua/hot pink/white. So I was thinking of having it like a surfer, Hawaiian themed beachy thing going on. Thought about doing pink and blue chocolate dipped strawberries and marshmallows. Pink and blue drinks, etc... you get the jist of it. I thought either people could come wearing the color shirts they thought the gender would be or having everyone pick a lei at the door and wear it that goes with their gender choice. I thought about having a two tier cake with one blue surf board and one pink surfboard at the top and decorated with pink and blue accents around it. Not sure of the design I want just yet on the cake. I'm still designing it in my head then will take it to the baker once I am satisfied with it.
I have to remake all my invites since they are from the old theme and now have to rethink of some cute ideas to do for the new theme. I got my inspiration from this theme from another blogger who did a birthday party and I loved it and wanted to play off of it for something for the shower. And I think it's going to work out great.
So here is my photo for this week's baby bump photo.
How far along? 25 weeks {6 months} - Baby is due in November.
Total weight gain/measurements: I gained 3 pound from last week so now a total of 14 pounds.
Maternity clothes: Yes I don't think I'll ever go back to regular clothes. I forgot how awesome maternity clothes fit and feel. Plus I just bought a new dress today at Macy's. Love it too.
Stretch marks? Nope. I never got them with my first pregnancy and none so far.
Best moment this week: Feeling little movements from the baby.
Miss anything? Real sleep. I would love to have energy at work one of these days.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not really anything that didn't when I wasn't pregnant. Melted cheese has to be the biggest thing that has always made me feel like throwing up and still does. {I think this will be the same every week unless it really changes}
Cravings: No, not at the moment.
Gender: Surprise surprise! We will find out in October at the reveal party.

Labor signs: Nope.
Symptoms: I got extremely light headed the other day trying to go on my lunch break. It kind of scared me.
Belly button in or out? In.
Happy or moody most of the time: I've been better this week. More in a happier mood.
Baby purchases: No, nothing purchased yet for the baby. However, I'm happy to say the registries are finished!
Looking forward to: Feeling the baby move more and next Friday I have my doctor's appointment. I'll get to hear the heartbeat again which is always fun.

Remember to go over to my sidebar and find the poll to take a guess what you think the gender will be. I'm really anxious and excited what everyone thinks! I'm even more excited when we find out. Until next time, adios!
That's a cute dress maternity or not. And I'm not gonna lie, there are still a couple maternity items in my clothes rotation. Just too comfy to give up. You are looking great!
ReplyDeleteSo do you and the hubs know gender, just aren't sharing with everyone else till 30 weeks, or are you finding out right before then too? The suspense would kill me as a family member /clost friend. lol!!! <3
ReplyDeleteI love the dress Rebecca, you rock it! I'm glad to hear that that light headed feeling passed and that movement is coming soon, it's great to read that everything is going well throughout this pregnancy, you guys deserve it!
ReplyDeleteYou look great in that dress! Babies are so wonderful. I will have to visit the gender poll!
ReplyDeleteI love the gender reveal party! I so impressed you can wait!! We made them (drs) tell us at 13 weeks... And they got it wrong! At 15 weeks, we found out that our son was actually our daughter. She was named within 48 hours! Delayed gratification isn't something that I can really do...
ReplyDeleteAwww. What a perfect dress for pregnancy. I'd love to wear that pregnant or not. Thanks for the Twitter <3 today!
ReplyDeleteI am SO jealous that you don't have stretch marks! My second baby destroyed my stomach! My daughter use to tell me "I love your tiger stripes Mommy!" But, it's worth it. Glad to find you on the Hop!
