♥ Favorite Photo Friday ♥

This is my favorite photo from this week. I took this photo the other day as I walked out of work. I thought the clouds looked really cool and captured the photo on my iPhone. It was the end of the day and this was the last of the sun going down for the evening.

the long road

★ What the FUCK Wednesday?! ★

WTF.....That at lunch today, I walked into McDonalds and it seriously smelled like cat piss and cow poop. WTF? That shit ain't cool when it's around your food!

WTF.....That McDonalds stopped doing their $0.49 hamburgers. Seriously? When did this happen cause I was just in there buying those. Now you take them away and your restaurant smells like a barn yard filled with piss and shit? WTF!!!!

WTF.....That this stupid old bitch could not wait three seconds while I try to cross the little intersection in the grocery store parking lot. She tried to back her Jaguar out and somehow maneuver around my car. I swear if she would have hit me or even one tiny dent, she would have been buying me a new car. She had the money. She's a in fucking Jag. WTF? Why are people so impatient. Even the old fuckers too!

WTF.....Why do I have to sit by a dumb-ass retarded idiot at work? He is lazy as shit and they just need to fire his ass. I hate him so fucking much. WTF, get rid of him, He's a moron and dead weight.

WTF.....Just WTF?! Ya know? Its how I feel!!!!

♥ Magazine Snapshots ♥

I’m in love with both of these. I want these nails so bad! And perfect eyeshadow in one sweep? Yes please!

photo 1 (1) edit     photo 2 (2) edit

Love this eyeshadow as well. I so need this one!

photo 1 (2) edit

I love this mascara. I use it all the time. Very awesome and love the big, long lash look it gives me. And the sugar daddy headline made my day. He will treat you right! Except this time, they are referring to nail polish O.o.O

photo 3 (1) edit    photo 5 (1) edit

I must say, I’m not digging this look at all. The girl is too pale for orange and it’s too shiny on her eyes. Not my style at all! I’m more of the “smokey” eye look instead of the shiny, wet look.

photo 4 (1) edit

But if you really need a quiz to help you have a one night stand or not, this would be the one! I laughed so hard when I saw this. It just confused me. Why would you need this & use it’s advice? But whatever, if you want to, you want to. Just found it too funny not to post. Especially the 1st question. Uh, if you are wasted, would you even be able to read this? Don’t think so….

paranormal tales

Welcome to another segment of paranormal tales

This story is coming a little late but now that my internet is finally back up and running, now I can post this and my other stories again. So yea to that!!!! *thumbs up*

This week’s featured story comes from a good friend of mine from high school who was kind enough to share her story with me to share with all of you. Her name is Sarah and here is her story:

Right There

Many years ago, my parents owned a home located near Confederate Hill in Columbia, Missouri. Being the oldest of three daughters, naturally my parents made me share my toys and personal space with my two younger sisters.  The time frame of the story that I am about to tell occurred when I was about ten years old.  My youngest sister was a toddler at the time so she had her own room, while my other sister and I had to share.  Lucky for us our parents had purchased a bunk-bed in which I got top bunk.

One afternoon our parents had taken us out to a friends house in the country.  We played hard, as most kids do, jumping around in the grass.  That night after all the good-night kisses had wore off and the dreams of children played in their heads, I woke up.  I lay there wide awake staring into the darkness making out the shapeless shadows, counting my toys to be sure they were in their proper places as we had left them.  My heavy eyes shifted to a  mist that began to form beside our bed.  An old man with a thick white beard began to appear.  He slowly raised his hand, pointed at my chest, and spoke over his shoulder as if talking to someone.  He whispered, "Right there" as if he were concerned.  I sat up straight in my bed and clutched my chest not fully understanding what happened.

Odon GuitarAt that same instant, the mist and man disappeared into the night leaving absolute darkness.  I felt a small bump just under the neckline of my pjs and began to pick at it.  When I tried to pull it off it hurt.  Scared, I jumped out of bed and ran to my parent's room.  Waking my mom and telling her what happened, we walked to the bathroom to investigate the bump.  It was only a tick.  Mom did what mom's do, pulled it off, and sent me back to bed.  She told me that I had only dreamed up the man and that there was nothing to worry about.  As I laid there in the bed trying to go back to sleep, I whispered into the night hoping the man could here me, "thank you."

Many years later and the memories of the events of that night long covered up by more important responsibilities, I had randomly started researching stories of the Confederate Hill area.  Several websites later I nearly fell out of my chair in shock as a photo of the man I saw all those years ago flashed up on the screen.  Shaking, as the memories of that night came back with a vengeance, I downloaded the photo and sent it in an email to my mom with the message, "See, I WASN'T dreaming!"

Photo of Odon Guitar. Courtesy of KC History

That sounds like something that would have freaked me out. Especially if I were younger. I assumed he was telling you that you were going to be having chest or heart problems when he said “right there”. But that was a great experience knowing he wasn’t evil or mean. Just informing you of that nasty little bug. That is a great story Sarah. Thank you for sharing.

★ Shit I Hate Sunday ★

Shit I Hate.....that there are too many bills & not enough money.

Shit I Hate.....when you feel like no one understands of cares. I hate feeling like I have no one to relate to.

Shit I Hate.....that no matter how late I stay up and clean, when I come home from work the next day it looks like five tornadoes blew through and no one seems to know where the messes came from. Well, hello!...I haven't been home to make any messes.

Shit I dumb some people really are. Seriously, if you were a geography major and you have to come ask me what the word "hydro" is, then why were you even born? I cannot stand the really stupid people in this world.

Shit I Hate.....people who say "its in God's hand now" or something along those lines...Hello!!!! Please stop saying that crap around me. Its annoying & I don't believe in that phony religious shit anyway. Not real or necessary so take it somewhere else to someone who gives a shit.

Shit I Hate.....that I cannot seem to get enough sleep on my days off. It would be awesome to be able to rest and sleep in when I can. So, how do we make that happen? LOL

Shit I Hate.....that the hubby spends all my days off sleeping all day so that we can't do anything as a family on the weekends. I told him to sleep on the weekdays while everyone else is gone so that on the weekends, we can all be awake at the same time. Yesterday he didn't wake up until 7pm...well, by that time, I was ready to go to bed myself.

Shit I Hate.....when the little one is sick. You can't do nothing about it and its horrible cause all they want to figure out why they can't get better. Mine has a bad cough right now. Nothing else but I hate seeing her say it hurts her to cough.

Shit I Hate.....grotty old men. Yuck... keep your eyes, looks, hands, and remarks to yourself. Nasty gross sick fuckers. Don't ask my friends how old she is and then when she replies, lick your lips and then say "that's a sweet age". Yuck!

♥ I’m Stuck In My Phone ♥

Because I love taking shots of myself in bathroom stalls. I can’t help it. It’s an obsession.

bathroom stalls + me =  photos

I’m so happy that we are getting our internet back Tuesday evening. Hurray! Our provider pissed us off so we no longer are dealing with them. So we had to call around and find one that we could do. Lots of choices and so we signed up with another company and on Tuesday it will be up and running. Thank goodness. I can live without cable {we already are} everything on cable is on the net anyway….but I just can’t live without my internet. And the phone can only do so much.

So hurray!!!! I can’t wait for Tuesday to come then I can stop trying to find a wi-fi connection around here. That’s a lot harder then it used to be.  But anyway, instagram and my phone are in love and I am in love with them. It makes picture taking so much more fun. Don’t ya think? Cheers to Saturday nights! Not that I’m ever doing anything exciting or fun anymore. But in my own little world, I imagine the day I can LOL until then, here’s to bath time with the little one and watching kiddie movies that make you want to stab out your eyes! Goodnight blogging world

My high school mascot was a naked baby. Yup, no joke. We were the Hickman Kewpies. Purple & Gold Baby.

I am about 2% left brained and 98% right. I'm very creative and my brain doesn't work any other way. It is creative all the time.

10. Vampires or Zombies?
If you know me, you know I'm a huge huge huge Resident Evil fan! I love zombies and love kicking some zombie ass. They are the best and they have the best bad ass chicks in zombie movies. Hell yea, zombies rule!.

paranormal tales

Welcome to another edition of paranormal tales

Sorry about the MIA and what-not. Having some internet issues and it sux not having it right now. Thankfully, I’m “borrowing” it yet the person loves to kick me off when they see me pop up on their stream. So until I can get my issue resolved with my internet provider, I am doing the best I can. So I am hoping to be able to get this posted tonight.

Anywho, Vicki from MyVickiliciousLife has offered to share one of her stories. It’s not your typical “ghost story” but still has so much heart and feeling in it from a personal paranormal experience. So it begins titled

Visits From Heaven

I have always believed in the spiritual world.  On numerous occasions I have had my deceased family members appear to me in my dreams ... I call them my "Visits from Heaven.”  I documented my most recent “Visit from Heaven” in a blog post which you can read about here.  But that is not the visit I want to tell you about today.  No, I want to tell you about when my beloved Aunt, came to visit me during my college years …

My Aunt & I were very close.  We had an amazing relationship and she taught me so much about life.  She always said there were two things she wanted me to do in life: travel the world and graduate college.  She passed away when I was sixteen years old.

Years later, I had hit a point in my college career where I didn’t know if I wanted to stay in school.  I was unmotivated and unhappy.  I was working retail at the time and I was truly loving what I was doing.  I was toying with the idea of dropping out of college and seeing if I could make a career out of retail and possibly work towards a management position in the store I was at.

The night I made the decision to drop out of college my Aunt appeared to me in a dream.  With sadness in her voice and with sorrow in her eyes she tells me how much my dropping out of school is breaking her heart.  And then she says the four words that no person wants to hear from someone they look up to … “I’m disappointed in you.”

When I woke up I was so confused. I stood firm in my decision even though I knew I was breaking my aunts heart.

Probably about a year later I was again in a crossroad in my life - retail wasn’t working out the way I wanted it to.  I started looking into  “trade” school so I did not have to deal with the core classes and could only take the classes I wanted.

Again, the night I registered for my new school, my Aunt came to visit.  This time in my dream she was beaming with happiness.  She says to me “My pride & joy … this is what it meant for you! I am so happy and proud of you!”

I love knowing she watches out for me from Heaven.  It’s also comforting to know she is willing and able to reach out to me to tell me exactly how she’s feeling.

I don’t think I have ever had a dream where I knew someone came to me in a dream and “helped” me. Its very inspiring for people who believe that they have someone looking out for them. I am sure you felt very proud that you made her happy in the end.

Great story Vicki. Thank you so much for sharing. If you have a story to share and tell, please contact me at its.just.rebecca{at}gmail{dot}com

♥ And Today Makes Ten ♥

Take a look at this:

305354_250480254993831_100000955742546_691522_577165497_n (2)

Yea, that’s right. Its been ten years. Ten long years. Or so it seems :0)

Tropical_Storm_Gabrielle_(2001)We met ten years ago tonight. It was at the first party of the school year of my freshman year of college. My sorority sisters dragged me to a party I did not want to go to and if I hadn’t gone, things would have been different. Earlier that morning, school was canceled due to Tropical Storm Gabrielle hitting us pretty hard. It flooded the campus and left us without power for 3 days. My first Tropical Storm/Hurricane I had ever been through.

I went to this party just to go and somehow, I met the man I was going to end up marrying. One of my sorority sister’s boyfriends went up to him for me to ask him if he would be interested in coming over and taking to me. He said yes and we walked around talking. Went to his place, then back to mine and it was so crazy trying to think of what to talk about or do with no power or water flooding the rooms. I remember every detail of that night. And ever since then, we have been seeing each other.

Granted we have only been married for 2.5 years, we have been together for ten years now. That baffles me. I can’t believe that. It seems like such a long time. Definitely have been easy. This relationship has been hard as hell. We bash heads. We are completely different people. We seriously, are two completely different people. I can’t stress that enough. We have so many views that butt heads and almost all the time don’t agree and argue and fight.

But you know what? We can’t live without each other. There is an attraction that has kept us together. And Even though all the hurt, the fights, the nagging, the bitching, the complaining…. there are so happy moments in there as well. I hope it doesn't take another ten years to try and understand each other more, but I am trying. But I love him and he loves me and that’s all that matters. Through the good and the bad. Nothing is perfect. I’m kinda of surprised we have made it this long. But I’m happy that we have. And I can’t wait until I get to say we have been married for ten years.

♥ Inspiration {French Style} ♥

I am totally inspired by Marie Antoinette and everything about the French fashion back during the late 1700’s. This is sort of my inspiration board. If I were ever to be able to be anyone for a day, I would choose her. This is my ideal costume. If I could live my life everyday in this style and décor, I would turn my life upside down to recreate it everyday.

★Shit I Hate Sunday★

SHIT I HATE.....that I didn't get any housework done this weekend. I took a long nap today and it felt really good and I spent all day yesterday at the park with my little one. I just wish I had a maid to clean.

SHIT I HATE.....that I finally made a mommy friend at the park and now I think I have to turn down her offer of going to her daughter's party this weekend. That makes me sad because I really wanted some friends.

SHIT I HATE.....that I might have to ask my parents again for money. Ugh, I hate that.

SHIT I HATE.....when my sim runs out of energy on the Sims Social. I hate waiting for the energy to reload.

SHIT I HATE.....that I woke out screaming bloody murder because someone decided they were going to dream about fighting and I got kicked in the back so hard, my shoulder has a pinched nerve now. Thank you. Not how I wanted to start my day. I everyone flew out of bed the moment I screamed. Thats how loud it was. Hubby fell on the floor. Shouldn't have kicked me then that hard. Yes, he sleeps at my feet cause he likes the fan on him and I don't. Thats how he got me good. I'm glad at least I wasn't facing the other way and he probably would have broken my nose.

SHIT I HATE.....that I hurt my finger and now I keep hurting it in the same place. The cut keeps opening.

SHIT I HATE.....that I don't know how to chill out and relax. I hate that I take everything way too serious and stress out all day everyday.

SHIT I HATE.....I'm just really sick of hearing about 9/11. Yes I said it. I'm really really sick of hearing about it.

SHIT I HATE.....when I'm made to feel like I'm a bad parent. That really pisses me off.

SHIT I HATE.....that every five minutes, the bible thumpin' anal boy I sit next to at work won't come out and say "shut the f**k up" but instead, yells "shut the front door". I hate that so much. I want to jab the back of his head with a fork. Its the most annoying thing ever. Who the fuck says that anyway? He needs to take that and go somewhere with it.

SHIT I HATE.....that its super freakin' hot outside. Just cool down slightly so I can lower the air. It would be nice to have less then a $500 this month. Thank you!

SHIT I HATE.....that I know it won't start cooling down til around December or January. least let me be able to open my windows. That would be nice too.

SHIT I HATE.....that I had so much stuff to bitch about yesterday and now can't remember it to complain about it today.

SHIT I HATE.....oh yea, one more I keep forgetting to add every week. I hate when people use the ghetto middle names in their FB account. I just want to punch them on how retarded they sound. Like:
Ashley GonnaTakeYoBabyDaddy Simmons
Karen IAmAllThat Jackson
Stephanie JeffsWifeyAndPrincess Baldwin

• Paranormal Tales - Light As A Feather •

paranormal tales

Welcome to a new segment that I like to call paranormal tales

Every Sunday evening/Monday, a new story will be featured that had been submitted to be told about personal paranormal experiences. So to start off the first story for this new thread, Chrissy from ALilDashofDiva has offered to share one of her stories. So it begins titled

Light as a Feather Stiff as a Board

I have always believed in ghosts and the paranormal. I can remember experiencing things that just didn’t add up logically when I was a kid and that has carried through even as an adult. I don’t know if there is a reason for all the activity I have witnessed or if it is just random but I do know that I am not the only one who has seen and experienced paranormal events in almost every single home I have lived in.

I went to this slumber party in elementary school; there were probably 8-10 girls. We all decided to play Light as a Feather Stiff as a Board. I don’t know if you are all familiar with this game but I will explain the gist of it. One person lies on the floor. Everyone circles around that person with at least one person on each side of them and one at the head and feet. You put only your index fingers under them and you chant this ‘light as a feather stiff as a board’. The story goes that the person will levitate without much effort from the people sitting around them. I don’t know where this ‘game’ came from but I do know that the girl who was in the middle DID levitate and it scared the holy %&$# out of every single one of us. She was a few inches off the ground and we all removed our hands and there she stayed for about a minute or two then she dropped to the ground. At that point we were all so freaked out; no one really knew what had happened or what to do. The girl got up and ran to the bathroom and puked for a while.

<img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px 20px 0px 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; float: left; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="B19682
" border="0" alt="B19682
" align="left" src="" width="406" height="280">

I remember going home and telling my mom what had happened and she called our Pastor’s wife who came over and talked to me and prayed. I don’t know if that game opened a door, or if I was just meant to see and experience the things I have since experienced…but that particular experience freaked me out for a really long time, and still does as a matter of fact.

Not long after that, I had a friend sleeping over at my house. We had stayed up super late and were sleeping in the living room. My mom had framed pictures or art on the wall above the couch and I remember if someone slammed the door the frame would rattle a little. Never enough to need to re- center the frame or fix it or anything. And it never just shook for the hell of it. My friend and I were watching tv and everyone else was in bed. We were both laying on the couch and next thing we know, the frame flew off the wall. Now, you would think if it was going to get rattled and fall off its hook it would just slide straight down behind the couch right? Wrong. It came off the hook and landed on top of us. Freaked out yet? Good, me too!

crackAfter that, we moved the picture and had it leaning up against the coffee table and then we decided to sleep on the floor, nowhere near the frame. We fall asleep and then CRASH! The frame falls over onto the carpeted floor and shattered all over my friend. Now, first off. The frame was leaning the opposite direction of how it fell. Second, it was on carpet, it doesn’t make any sense for it to slide or for it to SHATTER from falling on carpet. We were up from that point on. No way was either of us sleeping. We cleaned up all the glass and just kind of sat there till morning.

I don’t know what it was in my house that night, but whatever it was wasn’t happy about something. I honestly don’t remember anything else happening during the rest of the time we lived in that house, but we moved to California about a year later.

That is one crazy story. I can’t imagine being in that situation at all. I would have been completely freaked out. At both things. The girl levitating and the picture shattering. Something was really not happy at all and wasn’t scared of showing off either!

Great story Chrissy. Thank you so much for sharing. If you have a story to share and tell, please contact me at its.just.rebecca{at}gmail{dot}com

♥ Finally The App I Have Been Waiting For ♥

I'm testing this out for the first time. I'm so excited to see that Blogger has finally come out with an app for the iPhone. I have tried other apps for blogging but they all sucked. Wordpress has had an app for a long time and I have been checking almost every day now for months and finally it's here. So I'm testing it out by using the app for the first time on my phone to make this post. Yippee!!!!
