Give Your Tween The Confidence That They Need #acnefree123

Growing up has never been easy. So many changes start to take place once you hit the age of nine and it doesn't stop from there. Becoming a tween changes you. And as a mother of an "almost" tween, I have to agree. My little girl is not so little anymore. Which of course, makes me happy and sad at the same time.

This year, she is turning the big ten. Ten years old.... oh my. Where has the time gone? It feels like yesterday she was a tiny little baby that I was hoping to be able to mold into this wonderful and amazing person. And I see, years later, she has become just that.

My daughter has always been one to have a lot of confidence. Nothing scares her and she takes on the world as if it's her own. She is fearless and strong. She has so many qualities I could only have wished I had at her age. However, she's growing up and I see that confidence has started to fade just a little as I have noticed she's hitting puberty. The dreaded time in any parent's life where their baby is turning into a young man or woman.

I suffered from severe cystic acne as a tween and it continued well into adult hood. I hated it. My confidence was non-existent from the start. And I do not want her to have to go through that same emotion of not feeling fully confident as I did. I noticed that she has started breaking out on her face with acne and blackheads.

This is where Walmart and AcneFree come to the rescue! AcneFree is a complete line of products to help  treat and control acne, even for tweens. Their products are designed to put your best face forward and is the first step to getting healthier looking skin. You can find the AcneFree products in the Facial Care aisle.

I was really excited to head over to my local Walmart to purchase the full line of AcneFree products to help us in our hectic mornings to get control over cleaning her face and making it the first and last steps we do in our busy day. The full line includes the Sonic Advanced Cleaning Duo  as well as the Daily Skin Therapy Line. With these combined, they make a wonderful daily skincare routine for my tween.

New from AcneFree is the Sonic Advanced Cleaning Duo. It is a purifying facial cleansing brush plus an oil-free purifying cleanser. With this product being so affordable and being able to work just as well as department store brands, there is no need to go anywhere else then to Walmart for their great low prices on this system. The oil-free cleanser clears blackheads and acne breakouts while the purifying facial cleansing brush uses dermal stimulation technology to gently deep clean pores.

It makes it the perfect combination for great, clear skin. The brush delivers 8,000 pulsations per minute which gently exfoliates your skin and removes the dirt and oil. It's soft enough to use daily because of it's nonabrasive surface so you can get that deep clean feeling every day. Which we all know is great because a tween's skin can be all over the place during these crazy years of their life.

Another thing I love about this product is that you do not have to keep purchasing brush heads and replacing them because they are so easy to clean. That is great because as a very busy mother, I don't always have time to constantly keep up with these things or have the money to keep putting into a product that requires so much after a few uses.

I really wish this was around when I was growing up. It seems to help so much get through our mornings. With two toddlers, our days get crazy. And sometimes, I even do forget about washing my face. I have to keep reminding my tween about it too. But the Sonic Advanced Cleaning Duo really helps get our mornings going.

This is a very easy and simple step-by-step process. My daughter was able to use this with ease. This is her daily routine using the AcneFree Sonic Advanced Cleaning Duo kit. She starts out by first rinsing her face with warm water.

After that, she applies a quarter sized amount of the purifying cleanser in her hand and then rubs it around on her face while it's still wet.

Then she wets the facial cleansing brush and turns it on to the desired speed she feels comfortable using. Then applies it to her face and begins to use it in a circular motion for about 60 seconds. Making sure she is scrubbing all the cleanser around, focusing on all the areas where she needs it the most.

Once complete, she rinses off her brush, rinses her face, and then pats her face dry and that's it! She's on her way. It takes very little time to get a good clean.

She let me know that she really loves this product. She said it is the best product she has used so far and that she loves how it feels like you are giving your face a massage and it feels so soft and clean afterwards.

Also from AcneFree is is the Daily Skin Therapy line. It's a three step system that helps re-balance acne prone skin. The Daily Skin Therapy Acne Wash is the first step of the system. It uses avocado extract to reduce oil and shine that a tween's skin usually develops while going through puberty. I love that it is soap free and rinses off clean. It also helps reduce new acne from forming.

The second step is the Daily Skin Therapy Pads. These are used to unclog your pores and tone your skin. We all know that acne and blackheads form when your pores are blocked and it's hard to keep them clean and clear when your body and skin is changing so frequently. There is also soothing menthol which leaves your face feeling amazing.

The last step is the Daily Skin Therapy Complexion Perfecting Cream. This cream gently increases the appearance of a better complexion, as well as conditions to keep your face moisturized. Overall, it gives you the healthier looking skin your tween needs.

Mornings with children are always a challenge. Mornings with a tween is like climbing Mount Everest. It's a lot of work. They don't want to get up, they have attitudes, they don't want to do their school work, they don't know what to wear, they don't want to eat what you cooked them....the list can go on and on... but with AcneFree Sonic Advanced Cleaning Duo from Walmart, our mornings are just one less step to a stress-free morning as well as one more day with clearer skin.

It's easy to use and is a fast, simple process which is wonderful. No one likes to rush their children to get ready in the mornings and life sometimes doesn't always allow us to take our time doing what is essential and needed. The AcneFree products though gives me a mind of ease knowing my daughter is getting the clean she needs. Because when your skin looks great, you are able to take on the day with confidence and no one can stop you.

Have you or your tween tried the new AcneFree Sonic Advanced Cleaning Duo or Daily Skin Therapy line? What does your tween do to build confidence during this phase of their life?

Mesothelioma + Asbestos Awareness

Last year 1.6 million people were diagnosed with cancer and many of us have been impacted by this. Cancer is not specific. It does not matter what age you are, what race or religion you are. It does not matter where you live or how intelligent you are. It can hurt anyone we love at anytime. Cancer can manifest itself in a myriad of ways, however there are a number of lifestyle changes you can adopt to mitigate your risk.

The Mesothelioma + Asbestos Awareness Center work hard to spread awareness of Mesothelioma, a rare but preventable cancer, which is spread by asbestos. So they have created a graphic that goes over a few basic steps everyone can take to keep themselves and their loved ones safe and healthy!

Mesothelioma is an uncommonly known cancer that has been known to develop in three main linings of the organs- lungs, heart, and abdomen. It is so rare that only 2,000 to 3,000 people are diagnosed each year. This cancer forms in the mesothelium, a thin layer of cells that protect the body's internal organs. Initially developed in these thin layers, it later spreads to other parts of the body and causes serious health problems. Symptoms include shortness of breath, fluid in the lungs or chest, and difficulty swallowing among some others. If you have been exposed to asbestos for a substantial period of time in your line of work or just from your immediate environment it is important to check with your doctor if you are having any of these symptoms. To learn more about the disease head over to their mesothelioma page

Although cancer is scary and can strike at anytime, there are ways that my family and I do try to incorporate into our daily lives to help reduce our risk.

1. Make sure you are eating a clean diet and cleansing your body of toxins.
2. Exercise daily. Even if it's just a walk.... keep up with your fitness. It's also great for stress and mental focus as well.
3. Rest. Your body rejuvenates when it's resting. Though it's not always easy as a mother to get proper sleep, but try to get as much as you can.
4. Stay Positive. Believe it or not, telling yourself positive things increases your health. If you give up, your body does too. Even when days get hard and things aren't happy, try to find the positive in everything. Stress and worry can eat away at the body and soul.

Here are some other helpful tips to prevent your chances of cancer:

We need to be making sure we do our best to keep our chances of getting cancer down in numbers. What do you and your family do daily to help keep yourselves healthy?

Plan The Perfect Vow Renewal—Say “I Do” Again, But This Time With Your Entire Family!

A vow renewal is the perfect way to celebrate your relationship, whether it marks a milestone anniversary or you just want to reaffirm your commitment to each other. It is a wonderful opportunity to relive the memories of your wedding day, but this time, with your children as well. By involving the next generations in the ceremony and planning, this celebration becomes meaningful and memorable. Doesn't that sound exciting?

Best for Bride - Canada's leading bridal dress chain, suggests the following tips for planning an event that will be enjoyed by you and your spouse, as well as the rest of your family.

Keep it personal

Unlike weddings, there are no set rules for a vow renewal. It can be as elaborate or as intimate as you choose. Nevertheless, the main factor is acknowledging your sacred relationship with your spouse, and the promises you decide to keep. This is best done with a close group of friends and relatives, who have supported your love story and brought happiness to your life.

Make it a family affair

Include your entire family in the celebration, by assigning roles to each member. Older children can officiate the vow renewal while younger children can be ushers and bridesmaids. If you want it to be like a real wedding, you can even have your children escort you down the aisle or perform a reading. Don't forget the older generation either. Invite your parents to shower their blessings or make a speech on this occasion. You can find many more ideas on how to involve your family in the ceremony here.

Dress for the day

This is the right occasion to wear your carefully preserved original wedding dress, provided it still fits you. Or you can replace the traditional wedding dress with a cocktail dress or evening gown, depending on your taste. Whichever ensemble you and your partner choose, make sure you dress up! After all, it is a special day. Also have your family plan and co-ordinate their outfits in advance, so they look special too.

Plan a great party

Whether you choose to have a casual dinner in your backyard, or party afterwards at your favorite restaurant, make it is fun and entertaining. Everyone will enjoy dancing, so choose a play list that has something for everyone. Add a personal touch to the day by playing your original wedding day photos or video. Or take a trip down memory lane by displaying your favorite pictures from the time you were married to when your children arrived and you grew as a family.

Make this a day to remember, for you and everyone at your vow renewal! As you share this day with your friends and family, let all of them know how special they are to you. Thank them personally and take plenty of photographs to document this day forever.
