3 Tips For Creating The Perfect Themed Children's Room

If you're stuck for ideas when it comes to decorating your child's room, choose a theme and the rest should fall into place. Whether it's an underwater or space exploration theme, you'll be able to mix and match different design features accordingly. Here's how to create the perfect themed children's bedroom.

1. Wall decals and canvas art

Wall art is a great way to introduce design elements into your child's bedroom that reflect the theme you are trying to incorporate. Wall decals, in particular, allow you to transform bland wall spaces quickly and cheaply and you only need a few materials to get started. If you want to create a pirate theme in the bedroom, how about a ship decal that covers the entire wall? Or fairy-shaped wall decal stickers if you are going for an enchanted or magical theme? The possibilities are endless! If you're not quite confident enough to do this sort of thing yourself then you might need a painter who has experience doing this sort of work.

2. Choose the right theme

Children can quickly outgrow themes so you'll want to choose something that will keep your little ones entertained for several years. One way to do this to go through interior design magazines with your children and decide which themes they like best. Brainstorm different ideas as a family and see what works best. You might even want to base a theme on a TV show or movie franchise. Some of the most popular themes include space exploration, air travel, animals, prince and princesses, and cowboy and cowgirl.

3. Pick a duvet set and curtains

Once you have chosen a theme, it's time to accessorise the bedroom, focusing on furniture and fixtures. Choosing the right duvet is a fantastic way to incorporate a theme and there are plenty of design styles to choose from. You can also select curtains that reflect your theme and other decorative items like cushions, throws and ornaments. Oversized floor pillows and framed photos can also be used to create a warm, welcoming interior space that your child will love.

Soapbox Charcoal Lover Bundle Review

I am really excited to share with you a new product I got the opportunity to try out for all of you today. Have you heard of SoapBox? Soapbox is a great company that combines the love of entrepreneurship with the need of hygiene products. SoapBox Soaps was born, and the rest is in the suds!

Soapbox offers a variety of scents and products including Acai shampoo, Argon oil body wash, Bataua liquid hand soap, Coconut conditioner, Peppermint bar soap, and much more! And want to know another secret about their product line?

That's right! These products are made from great ingredients that are not harmful. So they are safe to use on anyone in your family. My family is pretty hard core on the Non-GMO moment and so Soapbox caught my eye immediately when I noticed that they are GMO free in their ingredients. Plus, the soaps are all made here in the USA.

I couldn't wait to give these a try and see how well my family and I would love them and what we really thought about it.

I had chosen the Charcoal Lover Bundle set. This set retails $24.99 and here is what is included with your purchase {1 Black body wash, 1 Black hand soap, and 2 Black bars}:

Everything is full sized at 16oz for the liquid soap and the body wash. The bars are weighed in at 5oz making them pretty large in size compared to other bars of soap. So just going by looks, this bundle kit is honestly highly reasonably priced for the products. I was honestly shocked these weren't selling for much higher but that is a great thing for those that like to stay healthy in hygiene and can't afford luxury products.

I chose the Charcoal Lover Bundle because of the amazing benefits I have heard about charcoal and our bodies. Charcoal is known to absorb 100 to 200 times its weight in impurities, making it an excellent natural ingredient to help purify and detox. It draws bacteria, poisons, chemicals, dirt and other micro-particles to the surface of skin, helping to achieve a flawless complexion and fight acne.

The first product pictured is the All-Natural Body Wash. The wash is a thick, clear but creamy gel that has a hint of brown color to it. There is a minty smell that is not overpowering, but really only noticeable when closer to the nose.

The wash lathers up pretty nice for showertime and a little can really go a long way. Which is a great benefit when you have multiple people in your house using it. We tend to go through a bottle of body wash in a mere few days {which honestly I don't even see how, but it happens}....and therefore, I can see this lasting a lot longer because of the thickness in the mixture.

The next product pictured above is the All-Natural Liquid Hand Soap. The hand soap is a bit on the lighter side compared to the body wash. As you can see, the color is also lighter as well as the weight of it. But don't let that fool you, a little bit of soap seems to lather up nicely when wet and gives such a great, clean feeling to my hands when I used it. The scent again was more on the minty side. We have snow outside right now so it's very cold {said at this very moment, the weather feels like -8 with the wind chill...OUCH!!!} That can't be good for our skin at all.

I never had dry skin until a few years ago when it got cold out and it is such a painful thing as my hands bleed severely when dry. This soap so far has not dried out my skin as other soaps I had been using. Which is a big plus! Especially in this time of the year.

Finally in the bundle set was the All-Natural Bar Soap. I did receive two but only am showing how one looked in the photo above because they were identical. The soap is a nice weighted bar and a dark grey color to it. We all agreed it had more of a lemon-grass scent to it which my family said they enjoyed this the best out of the other two products by scent only.

My daughter tested out the soap for our photos and she was easily able to lather up the soap under the water in only a few seconds and she really liked how smooth it felt on her hands. Again, just as the liquid hand soap, the bar soap really seemed to be great for these cold, snowy days and nights we have had. No skin drying out so far! Win!!!

So not only are the products made with awesome natural ingredients that are safe for everyone to use on their body, but there is one more amazing thing about the Soapbox company as well. They have a campaign known as #HopeCode where for every product sold, they give a bar of soap or a month of clean water is given to someone in need.

The #HopeCode is located on the back of every product and you can then log onto their website and see where your purchase of their soap is helping someone else somewhere else that needs it as well.

Here is the code located on one of the back of my bars of soap. I simply input that into their site as shown below and it tells me where they are donating to help others. I can't tell you how much I love this! Humanity is winning for the greater good with this company.

I was very eager to see where the soap would be going to. And the results came in.....

So someone in India will be getting a cleaner day because of the amazing donation Soapbox is providing to them. How cool is that? And not to mention, heart warming!!

Overall I am very pleased with my Soapbox products. I think the company itself is amazing and unique, the products are safe and harmless, and the price is very reasonable for most budgets.

If you are looking to try Soapbox and their products, check out their website. I am positive you will find what you are looking for in so many different varieties. And tell me, have you ever purchased from Soapbox before? What were your thoughts on the products and company? I would love to hear them. Let's chat!

Friday Fragments

Hello everyone! Today I am joining in with one of the most sweetest bloggers I know, Traci from A Star In My Own Universe. She hosts a Friday linkup called Friday Fragments. And every Friday I tell myself I must join in and I have all these ideas and then I lose track of time and before you know it, I didn't get around to doing it. But today I am! I'm really happy to be participating.

ONE || ATC

My daughter and I are finally joining in the Homeschoolers ATC {artist trading card} group this month after being a member for over a year. I keep wanting to do this so bad and then things happen and we never get around to participating. But we are totally doing it this month and I'm really excited. She is doing four and I am doing four.

An ATC is a card you make from heavy cardstock like paper measuring 2.5 x 3.5 inches. And you create a fun piece of artwork on it and then trade it with others and you collect other people's cards in a binder and keep just for fun! Being an artist, I thought this would be really great to do something artistic this month since I haven't had much motivation lately with a few unforeseen circumstances life has hit us with lately.

The group is given a theme each month. So for January, the themes that were chosen were "Blue" and "Winter" ...... While my daughter has finished hers, I am still playing catch up. I started my first one for the winter theme. It is coming along nicely. I am using colored pencil on bristol board for this one. I decided to do a "penguin" theme since they are my favorite animal and perfect for winter. Here is what I have done so far. I still have a ways to go on it but i do like the outcome that is happening. I had to share it on my Instagram because you know, I {heart} IG

TWO || JEWELRY IN CANDLES

Last week or the week before my dad shocked with me with the news that now that he has retired, he wants something fun to do on the side and asked if I wanted to join in with him. I was like SURE! That sounds great. So he decided we should become business partners and open up our own Jewelry In Candles shop which actually excites me because I've been wanting to do this for a while and he was able to start it for me.

So I guess you can say I am officially a sales rep for them which I find really fun since I love their products. I know so many people have bought these candles and so I am one of the guilty. I love them. So many really fun and cool scents. I am totally obsessed with candles. But these candles have one small {or big} surprise to them. They have a hidden piece of jewelry in them that can be worth anywhere from $10 to a few thousand dollars.

It's so fun to reveal and find out what's inside. I love with them that you get to choose whether you want a necklace, a pair of earrings, or a ring for a man or a woman in the size you choose. Not only do they sell candles, but wax melt tarts and lotion as well. All with jewelry inside.

Here are just two from my own personal reveals. I've also gotten a pair of earrings as well but failed to take a photo of them with the candle before it was gone.

THREE || CHANGES

Like I mentioned above, there have been some unforeseen circumstances that have happened within the last week here that has turned our lives around. And it's all I can think about and has been on my mind. We found out my husband's job is laying off a lot of people and he is one of them on the list to go. Which really sucks since he is the sole provider right now for our family,

I have been stressed out to the max about how are we going to afford to keep our place, how are we going to provide food for our children to eat, how are we going to live in the middle of winter with snow if something really bad happens? I have been applying to about twenty jobs a day everyday now... sadly, I've been turned down from a lot of them. Which I find funny since I am more than qualified for the positions asked. But you know, it's how the cookie crumbles. Sometimes, the odds aren't in our favor.

And that has really made me upset. But after I had a completely nervous breakdown on Monday. Yes, I was crying so hard, so upset, so stressed out that I was cooking dinner and totally fainted on the floor in front of the kids. I blacked out. I then started throwing up when I woke up from just the amount of stress. This is not good. Not at all. And on top of that, that same day my mom and dad and I had a huge fall out which resulted into more stress that I couldn't take. My husband was talking about leaving me as well... and all this just really hit me so super hard...I can't even begin to tell you how I felt. We all have been working it out and things are getting better.

So I really hope if anyone out there can just say a few kind words in their prayers for my family that my husband or I find a job to keep our family safe and warm, I would truly appreciate it. Because this sucks big time and I feel like a total mess. So I'm trying everything I can to make a little money here and there to help out as much as I possibly can. So no matter what happens, our family will be going through a lot of changes in the next couple of weeks.

LUMINESS AIR AirSupremacy AirBrush Makeup

Hello everyone out there in BlogLand! Today's post is all about this fabulous product I have been dying to try out and review for you and I finally got it and now here it is. The wonderful and awesome revolutionary makeup by Luminess Air.

Luminess Air has this fantastic product line called AirSupremacy which is all airbrush makeup. Yes, airbrush makeup. I cannot wait to get started on show you all this.

Why was I so interested in trying out this product? Number one, I hate foundation. I absolutely hate it. And so I have been hearing so much about how airbrush foundation is nothing like traditional liquid foundation. It doesn't go on thick or feel cakey or like your skin can't breathe.

I do not have the best skin. It's uneven, it has lots of scarring and fine lines {which really makes me super self conscious}. Therefore, traditional foundation and makeup in general tends to make those ugly features stand out even more instead of hiding them for me.

Luminess Air is known for many things. But here are the most common
- Airbrush technology without the machine
- Superior buildable, breathable coverage
- Dermatologist & Ophthalmologist tested
- Minimizes fine lines, wrinkles & texture
- Paraben, fragrance & oil-free
- Never tested on animals
-Ideal for sensitive skin
- No mess application

As you can see, everything came in a nice, sturdy box filled with cute little pink paper worms. There was also an instruction manual, two shades of foundation, one blush, and one professional grade brush.

To use the product, you just have to shake the desired can for about five seconds to mix around the pigment and gently spray onto your face. You can do it in little strokes or continuous. I have done it both ways and just prefer the continuous spray.

Next, take the brush and blend around the foundation while it's still a little wet on your face. This helps smooth it out and blend it nicely. After that, use your blush and spray lightly in little sprays on the apples of your cheeks. Then use your brush to smooth that around to blend in nicely.

And that's it! You are ready to go.

Here's a little video I put together of just how it works. Enjoy!!

So what did I really think about this product?

PROS:
- Goes on fast, easy, and virtually with no issues
- Feels super light and doesn't look greasy or cakey
- Cans are small enough that they are easy to travel with
- You get a lot even though the can looks small
- Doesn't make you suffocate spraying it on
- Zero smell which is awesome
- Overall, doesn't feel like makeup

CONS:
- If you aren't careful, the blush goes on way too dark & streaky
- Was a bit hard choosing the right shades. I think I went too light in my selection

Overall, I am very pleased with this product. I didn't really have a much to say negative of the product and honestly was taking me a while to think about anything I wasn't happy with. I would give it a 98% rating. This is a product I would honestly keep buying month after month. And I never say that about foundation at all! So to me, this is totally worth it.

I have a great offer for all my lovely readers. If you haven't tried this product out yet and want to... or maybe you already have and love it, I'm offering a 15% off promo code you all can use on your order. Just apply code 567652873 at checkout

However, there just isn't foundations and blushes. Luminess Air AirSupremacy offers a variety of tattoo coverage, blemish coverage, body shimmers, and other sprayable beauty products for all your pretty needs.

Have you ever tried Luminess Air or any other airbrush makeup before? What did you think? Let me know below. Let's chat!

Pure Garcinia/Cleanse ADVANCED Fast Weight Loss Kit Review

This is my first post of the new year. That is pretty exciting. And I think this goes along pretty well with New Year's Resolutions. I was able to try out this highly talked about #dietkit. It seems to be the rave these days with lots of great success stories.

Being as one of my New Year's resolutions is to lose 60 pounds {which makes me feel upset about that actually}, this product looked hopeful. Before I share my thoughts and feelings about my experience, here is a little but about the product.
