Just Another Mani Monday

Hello lovely nail fanatics! Another week of Mani Monday is here. I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and now it's time to show off those nails!

A couple of weeks ago, I got a big box from Julep! A few weeks ago to celebrate St, Patrick's Day, they were offering a special on free gold nail polish. But there was a glitch and I ended up with all their gold polish bottles for free and only had to pay for a couple of bottles. How crazy huh? I am not complaining. So when this arrived, I was stoked!

So what is a girl to do with so many choices? I couldn't choose. It was so hard deciding which colors to try out first. But in then end, I came up with this little mani....

So I chose Veronica as my main color and Jane as my accent. The photos never do the colors justice. Jane looks amazing in real life. So shiny and sparkly.

So what are you wearing on your nails this week? Link up your old or new looks below!

TreSkinRX :: All Aloe Is Not Created Equal

Now, ain't that the truth? I'm a more natural kind of gal when it comes to anything I use on {or in} my body. Everyday, I start looking for a better way to do things that doesn't require a lot of harsh chemicals. We are in the great age right now of going more natural. The movement is here! TreSkin RX products are fragrance, sulfate, paraben, and gluten free! And if that doesn't sell you on it, they are also made all in the good 'ol USA.

So I was excited to be given the opportunity to try out some awesome products from TreSkinRX skin care line. I received a two week trial which has been more than enough honestly. It does what it needs to do without hardly any at all so you get a lot of worth out of this product.

Before I get into what I liked about the products and which ones I exactly used, here is what makes TreSkinRX different from those you buy in the stores:

TreSkinRx has a lot of different products out there which is nice. Variety is great because everyone has different kinds of skin issues. There are 6 two week trial kits available for men and women.

For me personally, I deal with oily skin. I have my whole life. Some days are worse then others with it and I hate it. I've been trying to find products for years that would help me with that. Especially when it starts to cause breakouts. Not fun at all. Especially in the adult years.

The two week trial bottles I received have been more than enough to help get me through the face routine on a day-to-day basis. In the kit, I received four bottles:

The kit comes with a great resource of instructions as well as information about each and every product. It was great that they provide so much information that is easy to understand.

The first step is the daily cleanser. It's clear and runny and I really love the way it feels after I have used it to wash my face with. It makes my face feel fresh. That's a thumbs up!

The second step is to exfoliate. The exfoliator though has done what I thought would be the impossible. It has actually kept my face from feeling rough and now is smooth. It took one use and the exfoliator has made my skin feel smooth and tighter for weeks. I've tried using lots of facials scrubs and the roughness always comes back after a few days. But this is a new turn for me. I love it!
The reason this works so well is because it removes dead skin cells, as well as accelerate tissue regeneration and new cell growth. The active ingredients within the formulations are delivered deep into the skin through a 100% organic base of pharmaceutical-grade aloe vera making it one of the strongest over-the-counter exfoliants available. EX3 is similar in strength to a doctor's office peel yet safe enough for daily at-home use without the harsh burn.

The third step is the day moisturizer. I have to be honest, I hate moisturizers and lotions. I hate them so much. I never use them. I have a thing with the way they feel and the texture. I just have never liked them being on my skin. But I have to say, this one is totally different. I tried it and instantly loved it. It goes on so sheer and dries almost immediately. It's so light feeling and not sticky or greasy. I have nothing bad to say about this product at all.

Final step is the triple defense sun guard. This is nice because it also contains SPF to help protect your skin outside. This is a very runny, milky lotion that goes on thin and doesn't feel very greasy. It's great to wear under your foundation.

If you are interested in you have the opportunity to try one of six two-week trial kits. They are great for both men and women. Check out Leen's Facebook page for lots of info on these products and how to try them out for yourself. You won't be disappointed. I have yet to hear a bad review about them yet! Each trial kit is only $15 and let her know that you saw it on my blog!

If My Blog Were An Outfit

I thought this was a totally cute idea when I saw this. Though I started this post and never got to finish it, I am now. The linky that this was linked to is no longer accepting links, but I still wanted to do post mine just cause I thought it was a totally cute idea.

The idea behind this came from Hairspray & Highheels. Though I had a few of these to post, somehow, the computer messed up and erased everything I did without saving. So I decided to just leave it at one outfit for now. Though I love the idea of different outfits for different moods and posts.

So if my blog were an outfit, I think this would be a pretty good match. Of course, pink and white galore! And totally girly! Just like me.

Just Another Mani Monday Link-Up

Hello lovely nail fanatics! Another week of Mani Monday is here. I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and now it's time to show off those nails! Since Friday {the 21st} was my birthday, I did sort of a birthday creation that represented me. It's cute, sweet, and girly :) So here is what I wore this weekend for celebrating another year older {I wish I could have just been able to get a good picture}.....

It looks a lot more cute in person. But it's ok. You can see what I was going for. I used Revlon Nail Art Expressionist in Night & Degas as the base coat. And Nicole by OPI in Love Your Life as the top coat.
It was my first time using both polishes and I must say, I had a few things I wan't liking. The brush on the Revlon was split so it was hard to make it look good near the cuticles. I don't know if the brush is like that with all of them, but it was a huge bummer with this bottle.
And the OPI one is really cute. However, I wasn't fond of the glitter. In the bottle, it looks cute and pink, but it comes out sliver looking on the nail, which wasn't want I wanted on a white nail. And the hearts are pretty hard to get out and apply.

However, even with these cons, I still like both colors and will continue to use them. Nail polish is all about experimenting and that's what I fully intend to do with each bottle I own!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Today for Mani Monday I decided to {attempt} a little look for this occasion. It didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, but that's ok. Nothing wrong with trying new things. Even if they don't always turn out the way you picture it in your head.
I used Julep's Zelda as a base coat and Angela for the accent decorations. I couldn't get a good shot for the color of Angela, but it's a beautiful dark, shimmery green color. I tried to make a four leaf clover but it looks ore like a cloud LOL. But regardless, it's all for fun anyway. I couldn't get the stem to work right. SO I took it away. It just made it look worse with it in there.

So what are you wearing on your nails this week? Any fun St. Patty's Day manicures?
Or anything else from older posts you'd like to share? Feel free to link up! I'd love to see your looks.

It's All About The Hair

Hair extensions are super popular. Not just popular with the celebrities, but also just the average person on the street. Seems to be a big trend now-a-days. And of course, why not? Hair extensions can be a girl's best friend {of course if they are done right}. You don't want to be out looking like a crazy person with horribly bad extensions.

The point of extensions is to not let them be known. Natural is a winner. They must look like you aren't wearing any at all. When I was contacted by BestHairBuy, I knew this would be a fun article to write up. I have purchased extensions for myself before and really loved them.

I wore hair extensions for my wedding day. I wanted to have beautiful long flowy hair. So I decided to purchase some and I was so happy that I did. They looked amazing and so easy to put in.

I purchased a similar style to this one. It clips right onto your hair securely. No need to worry about it falling off.

Trust me, I know. You move around a lot and for hours and hours during your wedding day and mine never moved an inch then entire day or night. This was my hair using the extensions:

All we did was separate my hair from top and bottom. Only the top half is actually showing while the rest of the hair is underneath the extensions. The top part of the hair laid lightly over the clipped part so that it looked natural and nothing showed from where the extensions started.

The clip-ons are so easy to use and takes seconds to put in your hair. It also makes for easy removal as well. Have you ever tried extensions? As you may have known, hair extensions can be a bit costly. If you are looking into getting some for a more reasonable price, check out BestHairBuy's site and and see their large selection.

They supply all different types from ombre hair to weaves and all sorts of other hair accessories. You can also choose from a range of hair colors as well as all different lengths. Get the celebrity look for less. You can also find great tips, tricks, and inspiration from their YouTube page as well.

If you have tried the clip-ons or any other extensions, let me know how you liked them and what kind you've used. I would love to know how they have worked out for you.

Dress Shopping Online For Prom

Did you attend your high school prom? I did, though I never had a date. I went with a group of friends instead. I really enjoyed prom. What I enjoyed even more was dress shopping. Though, back when I went to prom, you didn't have a lot of stores that sold dresses besides the mall.

Now, you can find dresses for prom everywhere. And one really convenient place is now online. Dress shopping online for prom comes easy with JenJenHouse. You can find so many looks and styles for any body type. Dresses range from size 2 all the way to 26W. There is something for everyone to look their best.

Choose from hundreds of styles and looks to fit your personality and perfect look. Check out some great dresses for this season's prom:

Now after selecting the perfect style and fit, the color must be just right! You can find a huge selection of colors as well for every dress. And selecting a color is super easy with their swatches listed. The best part is, they show swatches in different fabrics so that you can see exactly how it will look on each different type of fabric.

How much easier can it be to dress shop for prom this year? The hardest part seems to just be able to choose just one dress you will fall in love with. Which can be hard since they offer so many amazingly cute dresses to show off.
Hoping that anyone you know shopping for prom this year has an amazing experience and a lifetime of memories to remember and enjoy about this special night.
