First iPhone Picture

So I finally got around to testing out the camera on my new iPhone. I really am please with the iPhone 4's picture resolution. Not too shabby for just a phone's camera.

Here is my kitty Seven. She let me snap a picture of her during her lunch break.

I think I'm going to enjoy taking photos and videos on the go with my phone :0)

Day 28: A picture of something you're afraid of

Today is day twenty eight in the 30 day photo challenge. Today's photo is a picture of something you're afraid of.

I am afraid of losing someone very close to me. I have been very fortunate that I have never had to go to a funeral yet in my life. I have had only a couple of family members die but I was too young to remember.

But I have a huge fear of losing my mom, dad, husband, daughter.... those are the people who are the most closest to me and I don't know what I would do if something like that happened. I know it must come at some point. I just want that time to be when I know they have lived their life to the fullest and in an old age where it would be more comforting to me.

Day 27: A picture of yourself and a family member

Today is day twenty seven of the 30 day photo challenge. Today's photo is a picture of yourself and a family member.

I wish I had more pictures of my mom, dad, and me.. but they are all packed away on cds in a box somewhere. So I'm a bit limited. But I chose a picture of me and my sister-in-law at DisneyWorld.

We took the kids and had a blast there. But when this picture was taken, we were both, tired and worn out from a very long day at all four parks

Finally Its Happened To Me

So today is an exciting and totally awesome day! Me and the hubby went out and got iPhones!!!!! I have wanted one for sooo long and have been bouncing off the walls since we went to the store and bought them. We got one for each of us.

Verizon gave me some great deals and totally made it affordable for us by waving fees and everything. The sales guy was awesome!

So I am now the official owner of the iPhone 4....its so super cool. I love the dual camera on it. Totally awesome. My last phone had that too but the dual screen was hard to see on the one side when taking a pic cause the area was so small. Now I have a big screen to do that on. Not to mention the video chat is super cool as well. Just still trying to figure it all out. But I love it and so excited that I can finally say I have one since the whole world seems to, I have just been itching for it for so long.

On a bad note, my little bug has the flu bug so she is so sick. I feel so bad for her. Little kids being sick are heart breaking. She is trying to sleep right now but keeps sitting up to throw up. It makes me want to cry seeing her with the flu. I just got over it and now its on her. Poor little baby bug :(

Day 26: A picture of something that means a lot to you.

Today is day twenty-six of the 30 day photo challenge. Today's photo is a picture of something that means a lot to you.

I decided to post my family. My family means a lot to me. My husband and my daughter are everything and even though I'm always snapping and bitching at my husband..I still love him with all my heart regardless of how mad I may get. And my daughter is my world. She means everything. I would give up all I had for anything she needed. So here are a few of our family pictures we have had over the last few years

Best song EVER from a soundtrack!!! LOL...I was in second grade when this came out and was my favorite song for the longest time. I'm such a big Bobby Brown fan, plus Ghostbusters were my favorite movie as well. This is totally kick ass

Please Don't Do It

I hope I do not know anyone that is doing this or has done this. Its really stupid and not worth it at all. We were just in a car accident last night because the person who hit us was texting and not paying attention. I can't tell you enough how stupid it is to do this and nothing you have to say is that important that you need to text while behind the wheel.

Everyone is ok. My daughter was shakin up by it. I'm so glad she was in her car seat securly and properly. It was our new car too. The car seems to be ok, we are all ok. But now gotta go through all the insurance crap. I've never been in an accident before and so it scared me so much.

I have SYNC in my car so anyone who calls me while I'm driving, it syncs to the car and you just talk directly through your car with them. Same with texts too. It just reads texts outloud. But texting and driving no matter what...not good.

This 22 year old could have seriously hurt me, my husband or my daughter and I can't think about what we would have done if she was hurt. I would have murdered the guy myself.

So please, save a life and the hassle and wait til you are not driving to text someone. Its not worth it.

Day 25: A picture of your day

Today is the twenty-fifth day of the 30 day photo challenge. Today's photo is a picture of your day.

I spend around 45-50 hours a week at work in the office all day. So a picture of my day would have to be that. For those of you just reading, I am a digital cartographer/graphic artist for UniversalMap. So here is my desk and my work space of where maps are made :)

I have a large desk which is very nice and great for spreading out all my map layouts, two monitors for the computer to do extra double overloads of work, and a ton of highlighters LOL

Cute Teacher's Gift Idea

I love this craft idea. I wish I could say this is my own but all images and instructions come from Just A Girl. She came up with the cutest gift for a teacher or office mate or anyone you know who is all about their hand sanitizer. Check out her blog too for other cute ideas. Here are her instructions on making this cute and inexpensive gift.

Go out and find the cheapest bottle of hand sanitizer, lotion, or bottled soap that you can find. I was at Target, and I'm pretty sure I could have found something cheaper. I wasn't in the mood to go somewhere else. Hence, the $1.79 hand sanitizer. I like this idea because germs are everywhere when you're a teacher. I keep a keg of this stuff on my desk. Yes, a keg.

The hardest part of this whole elaborate project is getting the stickers off the bottle. When you purchase it, make sure there's nothing printed ONTO the bottle. Everything must be removable. Most are, but just check. The bottle on the right is the "cleaned" product. I simply peel it off. Whatever doesn't come off clean gets some Goo-off or Goo-B-Gone on it. Just wipe the oil off with some Windex or something before you move on.

Now for the easy part. Decorate it. I have tried rub-ons, stickers, small tags, and ribbons. You choose!

The one on the right (below) is the first one I did, and I used soap. I have since come to like the sanitizer option better (plus I like that it's a clear bottle), but you can do whatever you like.

So there you have it. A tutorial AND a teacher's gift idea.

Thank you to Just A Girl for sharing this. I love this idea and now plan on using it myself for my daughters teachers gifts!

Moving Is A Pain

So its that time of year again for us to pack up and move. This time, it has been a little harder then the others. We tend to move almost every year. We just get bored with where we are living or get tired of either the neighbors, community, atmosphere, etc.... we seem to not be able to stay in a place longer then a year.

This is actually my fear of buying a house. Because I get so bored so easily and like change, I like to move often. So I was really excited to start looking at houses to rent.

I'm so tired of living in apartments and just wanted a house where my daughter could have a yard to play in and we could just have the convenience of living in a house without buying one yet.

So I looked for months, building up a list of ones that were of interest and we were about to go looking at those houses when UH OH.... they are off the market now. That bites. So I went searching again and the prices seemed to have increased in the area. We gave ourselves a limit of wanting to only spend $1200/month or less for a house. I wanted a three bedroom, but they were all at least $2400/month or more. Two bedroom houses for rent were about $1500-$2000/month.

Then we thought well, disappointment has kicked in but we decided to just go ahead and look into apartments again. Blah, but oh well. At least we know that we won't have to worry about lawn care nor trying to worry about something breaking and getting it fixed. Pest control, ect....

So we went and looked at these one apartments that I really was excited to see. They were in our price range. Well, the two bedroom anyway. I really want a three bedroom apartment, but these were two bedroom for $1180/month so we were in our budget. They were pretty decent. Had a garage attached to every apartment and nice living area. The three bedrooms were $1500/month. That's a little steep for me to be spending. I might as well go out and buy a house if I'm going to just spend that on an apartment. But $1200 and under is fine.

Sadly, these didn't WOW us like we thought they would. They were nicer then what we are living in now, but just seemed to "ordinary" for the price they were asking. So we are going to look again this next weekend. We don't have much time either. We are looking to start moving the middle of March or earlier.

So I found three more apartments that seem very nice. The two bedrooms in each complex range from $1100-$1300/month so I'm hoping to get a nice sized one for what we can afford. We live in a pretty big apartment now sq. foot wise compared to some we have lived in. So I would like to have the next one be just as big or bigger for the price, ya know? I don't want to spend all that money and then be stuck in a closet.

These all seem nice. They look amazing and glamorous in the pictures so we shall see. As we all know, looks can be deceiving. Especially when you are apartment hunting. I would like to have one picked by next weekend so we can start the paperwork and get all the freakin deposits paid.

I started adding it up and just to move into a new apartment, you throw down around $6000 just at move in. Its crazy. First months rent, last months rent, administer fees, security deposits, application fees, renters insurance fees, pet deposit (if any), the ones wit the garage say a garage operator fee, front gate fee, security fee.... I added it up for the one apartment and we need around $6000 to move in if we choose to go with them.

That's a pretty big chunk of money. What six, is that we do this almost every year and man, all that money just to move. But we can't live somewhere where we are no longer as happy as we were when we moved in. So it has to be done. Good thing for tax refunds, huh? :0) Don't know what I would do without them.

But I'm exited. I love moving into a new place. I just hope we find that one that WOW's us and we can be excited to move there. I think we will know when we see it, and like I said, hopefully it will be one of the three we are going to be looking at this weekend coming up.

Color Splash Sunday: Castle

I decided to do Color Splash Sunday this week. I wasn't planning on it, seeing as I'm really needing to find the box with all the cds my photos throughout the years are on. One day, I'll be able to finally unpack everything.

So I found this. Its again of Disney's Cinderella's Castle this past October

Here's the original:

Here's the modified:

Its All About Me

So, with such a crappy week I had been having. Not only was my body consumed by the flu (still a little sick now but much better) and my marriage having a bit of a few issues/fights/wars..whatever..... I decided I wanted to post a write up all about me!!!!

That is right. So I found a few pictures from my facebook page I took of myself within the past year and put the few I liked together to share. Just because...well, I don't know why....LOL! Just because I guess.

Sometimes its always fun to see the other person behind the blog you read or run into. So this is me. Just me. :0)

Day 24: A picture of something you wish you could change

Today is day twenty-four of the 30 day photo challenge. Today's photo is a Day 24: A picture of something you wish you could change.

I decided that for me, I wish I could change my body. Yes, why can't I look the way I did before I got pregnant? I was really stunning, skinny, sexy, hot, and just rockin a hot bod. Now, I'm not that at all. I feel so fat and huge. I'm the biggest I have ever been. I wish I could lose and shed those pounds off again to look the way I did when I was 24 (just 4 years ago).

I'm not as "fat" as I feel like I am. But I'm not as hot as I used to be. I can't wait til we get our tax return so we can get back in the gym and start looking sexy again. I can do it. I lost 30 pounds after I had the baby but have now put it all back on. So it can be done. I'm motivated, just need to get into the gym. Can't wait to do that!

Six Word Saturday

Six words to describe my life would be:

That would be nice wouldn't it? I would love to be financially free right now. Money is the biggest stress of my life so this could describe a lot. :0)

Day 23: A picture of your favorite book

I'm super far behind on this now, but I'm not giving it. So today would be my twenty-third day of the 30 day photo challenge. Today's photo is a picture of your favorite book.

Ok, so this one is a bit hard because I don't like to read. So I don't. I'm not a fan of books... never really have been. I seem to read one book every ten years. No joke. And it has been eleven years since I read this book (back in 2000), but really enjoyed it a lot to consider re-reading it again. So far, in eleven years, I still haven't. But I would. The book is called:

I loved this book. It really hooked me and I love that it traveled back into the Civil War and I was super in love with the main character. She made me want to be her. Such an amazing book. That's a lot coming from someone who hates reading. When I picked up this book, I had no idea what it was about. I never read a romance novel before and only got it because it was cheap and though it could be entertaining when I was bored. I even skipped school to read it. Crazy! But I recommend this to someone who is into romance novels.

So last night, pretty much was full blown WWIII in my house. I have been going through some things, trying to keep them all blocked inside me about things I was suspecting that wasn't very loyal in my marriage and I finally took it full on and blew up completely and waged war on myself and him. Cussing him out, yelling, screaming.... just everything to get it out there what I suspected he was doing behind my back and hiding and lying about it.

That was what my little break from blogging was all about. I was so depressed and so over emotional. Not to mention, I ave had the flu for almost a week now and cannot get rid of it for anything. I cannot stop blowing my nose. You would have thought that I could have no more snot in my entire body for the rest of my life after what I have been going through. Kleenex has been my best friend.

And let me tell you that when you are very sick and then completely attack someone emotionally when you are a very over emotional person, well.... lets just say that I couldn't stop crying nor making my nose stop running. I had a bad fever, sore throat, drippy nose, horrible headache which has made every nerve in my face hurt so it feels as though my entire mouth is one big toothache. Ouch!

So yes, since Valentine's Day, things haven't been the greatest around here. My husband was all pissed I accuse him of things, but they are things i find, not that I'm just making up.... so of course, I'm going to blow up and get upset about it. Its not things I'm just thinking are going on. I knew. Of course, he's not the kind to be emotionally showing anything to help. So that makes it worse cause then I feel as though he doesn't care.

I don't really know if we even made up cause he's the type that doesn't say everything is fine. We just leave it as is and then go on like we normally would and I suspect everything is fine. So I am guessing everything is ok now. Today we had another episode of a blow up about it too. I can't shake things off so easily as I would like to. I know I shouldn't be posting about personal stuff like this but I just wanted to get it out of my system.

So he went to a friends now and before he left we were talking rationally, so I guess things are just back to normal again. I hope anyway. I hate fighting and feeling insecure because that gives him reason to just go find someone to make him happy. Let's just say that behavior is has not been uncommon before so it makes me even more insecure.

But all and all, I am feeling better. Still sick, but emotionally, better at least and feel things are ok in our marriage. I hate fighting and finding out things I don't want to find. It starts to really eat a person alive. Sometimes when you go looking, you don't want to find things you find out. And then sometimes, you find all the things you do. Its always a chaotic life when you are in a relationship, isn't it?
